TEAM PURPOSE:

What is it that this team does, for whom and why? This is the starting point for team development.

TEAM VISION AND MISSION:

What is the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) that only this team can accomplish? In other words, what will this team accomplish that other teams will not?

RIGHT PEOPLE:

Another critical question before investing in your Team’s Development: Have you got the right people on board with the right commitment and competence for the allocated task?  If not – how do you address this expediently?

TEAM STRUCTURE:

Team Size:  The High Performing team needs to be the right size for the task in hand.  Incidentally, the optimal team size according to research is between five and seven. In practice, this is often not the reality and we have worked with Management Teams of all sizes.

Team Meetings:  The team needs to agree meeting protocols and decision making processes.
